The Great Wildebeest Migration, is one of the “Seven New Wonders of the World”.
No where in the world is there a movement of animals as immense as the wildebeest migration, over two million animals migrate from the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania to the greener pastures of the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya during July through to October.
The migration has to cross the Mara River in the Maasai Mara where crocodiles will prey on them. This is one of the highlights as the animals try and cross the Mara River alive.
In the Maasai Mara they will be hunted, stalked, and run down by the larger carnivores. The Maasai Mara also has one of the largest densities of lion in the world and is no wonder this is the home of the BBC wildlife channels Big Cat Diary.

The Earth's Greatest Wildlife Spectacle in Masai Mara
Our 6 Night Masai Mara Migration Safari will give you the best chance to see one of natures true spectacles and during this trip our goal is to experience the drama and visual intensity as more than a million wildebeest cross the Mara River as a part of their never ending journey. Since you will be based at our Masai Mara Springs Camp you will also enjoy additional extra attractions like Masai traditional dances, Bush Masai BBQ dinners, evening walks to the top of the Naunare hills among others.
Day 1: On arrival you will be picked in the morning at your hotel or the airport and taken in a 4WD Land Cruiser to be driven via the Great rift valley escarpment into the bottom of the Rift Valley past Narok town to masai Mara arriving at our Mara springs camp just in time for lunch. In the afternoon we will head out in search of the wildlife that roam the plains, returning to camp for lunch and dinner.
Day 2 to 6: The Mara Springs Camp location is the perfect base from which to monitor the wildebeest migration.Located just 3 Kms from the parkgate makes it possible for us to wake up and go into the park at any moment once we get the news from our scouts who are on the look out for the Mara Crossing. We reach the Mara River in the perfect time to photograph the massive herds of wildebeest as the build up and ultimately start crossing the Mara River.
Day 7: On the last morning we will, after breakfast then drive back to Nairobi arriving slightly past lunch hour. Upon arrival in Nairobi a short transfer will take us back to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where the safari comes to an end at 18:00.
