The landscaped gardens are intentionally structured to bring out the ambience of a mountain environment and a large-scale replica of Mt Kenya in our grounds offers you an informative route planner if intending to hike the mountain.
For bird-watchers, exotic birds are in love with our lush vegetation, flowers and waterfall and we encourage many more by additional feeding. |

MEALS
Guests are hosted by the owner and his wife, and supported by a friendly team who are just like family.
Fresh homemade meals are served in generous portions and the more inquisitive are welcomed to our kitchen to get hints on how to prepare Kenyan delicacies.

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Rock House is located within the area that was once Karen Blixen’s expansive coffee estate. Those with time on their hands have a wide choice of activities to choose from within the neighbourhood. A strolling distance away is the Giraffe Centre, the Hardy Horse Stud Farm for horse riding, the Matbronze Wildlife Gallery and the Karen Health Club/swimming pool.

With a short drive, you can visit the Karen Blixen Museum, the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, the Nairobi National Park, the Nairobi Safari walk, Bomas of Kenya, the Carnivore Restaurant, and the Crocodile Village. Vehicles and bicycles are on standby for hire. |
